The Merrimon-Wynne House

So now then are any of you sweet cheeks planning on getting married any time soon?  Feel Free.  Because now Downtown Raleigh can accommodate your celebrations.

This week was Jodi's Ground Breaking Ceremony and while the invitation was actually meant for Josh who is involved as a participant in the renovation of this beautiful historical property {as opposed to myself: the observant} I have only minor qualms pretending as though I am a "part."  Because I love Jodi and I've got nothing better to do.  And can I just take this moment to say, that this is exactly what Josh and I were looking for when we got married however unfortunately Raleigh was not yet prepared to deliver.  Needless to say, momma {myself: the observant} is super proud.  Get it girl.  And ps can we have our friend group Christmas party there this year before you officially open?  And New Years?

In the meantime, feel free to educate yourselves in a little bittle of Raleigh's history:

Father's Day!

Did you have a great Father's Day weekend?  Me too, here's what it looked like, in chronological order:

We had no choice but to go car shopping because I sold my tried and true "Jalopee" this past week.  This is Josh running his mouth to the first car salesman we dealt with.  Not. Pretty.

So we headed to Farmville.  Not Wilson.  But we passed Wilson on the way to Farmville.

See, here's Farmville.

And if you are in search of a car, ask for Curtis, he'll take good care of you.  On another note, Doug: Clean up your Farmville "Show Room" Even if you don't think it's as swanky as your Greenville or Tarboro location.

True Life: I now own a momma-mobile.

 Fast Forward to Sundee.

Banana Pancakes for the Father.

Then churchy and a trip to Pullen Park.  Er Mer Gersh the young'n loved it.

And that apparently is what the word "Choo Choo" looks like to a 16 month old.

Thus the train ride.

And in true fashion we end the day with a  Banana Pancake Nutella Sammie.  Compliments of the Father of the Day.

The. End.

Kimye.

It's true peeps. I disappeared. Not because I don't love you but because I been busy nah mean? Or lazy.  Whatevs.  I had an inkling it was time to come back which was more than confirmed when I turned on my lenovo yoga tab **ah gasp the shame I don't have an iPad or mac book pro from which to document my day to day livelihood...** to find that my most very best friend Kim K had her baby today.

{via}

Of course I had to check my sources and upon finding that both USAtoday and BusinessWeekly are in fact reporting on Kim's natural delivery, it has to be true.  Heaven bless the nurse that took care of THAT natural birth. Goodt. Lawdt. No. Thank you.  Can you IMAGINE?  The two of them together, at Cedars Sinai, wallering amuck in their own moan-ey groan-ey whiney whoa is me in my rough over paid life complaining about their upper class first world problems {which I imagine to be something to the effect of:  the absurdity of hospital policies including but not limited to the fact that you have to go get your ice in a plastic bucket from a common/community hall ice machine BY YOURSELF if you want ice chips AND they only have Seagrams Ginger Ale brand which is not pleasing to the pregnant palette of the rich and famous, insert comment here about how BeyoncĂ© didn't have to do it this way so obviously this entire health care system is a bunch of racist bigots-which yes I realize the two of those statements don't coincide, that's the point.}

Bless my heart I have run my mouth too much.  I apologize.
